Come see me at Gig Harbor! I am looking forward to being on the other side of the mountains and seeing friends and family. This is me (duh) at Greenwood. I had a lovely spot under the trees, near the jousters (fans herself), looking over the river.

I lost a month somewhere and July is officially over. Ye Merry Greenwood Faire was extremely hectic – many many heartfelt thank yous to Greenwood/Radcon security for stopping by and helping, for bringing me a helper, for everything!!! And to my sister vendor who came over and offered help. And to Edgar and Sue and John and Jordan for coming to tear down. It looked pretty dicey for awhile there, but I survived. Sorta. Mostly. I think. I love dressing people up and these two were no exception. It was hot and dry, drink lots of fluids!

Remodeling is … interesting… dusty…sweaty…and sometimes necessary. My brother and his buddy came over from Montana in July and did “things”. Corset bench, new floor, storage attic in shop, racks for trailer, new shelving, repair storm windows, the list goes on. In the midst of all this Seams Like Magik did their first ever Ritzville Blues Fest and what a blast that was!! Ritzville was transformed, people came from all over, the music was incredible, the food was tasty and hey, we sold things too. My brother is planning a repeat next year for the Blues Fest. So, thank you Ritzville, for enticing my favorite carpenter to spend time at my place!!

Contests, what contests?? Here is one for you, inspired by my newest t-shirt with “one Quark, Two Quarks…” on it. Finish the following ditty by adding more lines. Find Seams Like Magik at an event and give Jane a copy of your verse, with your name, address, email. Worthy entrants, the first 11 worthy entrants, will draw from the prize pot. Define "worthy" you say. Okay, worthy means you have to try, like by adding more than one word. This is not for the Nobel prize. The prize pot will contain $100.00 worth of Seams Like Magik gift certificates, in $5-25.00 increments, redeemable for merchandise, good for one year. The BEST entry – the Grand Prize Winner - will receive a $50.00 gift certificate. Contest ends at Thanksgiving 2007, winner will be announced here. Any and all entries may be published here. Seams Like Magik respects your privacy; your name and personal information will not be shared or sold without your specific permission.

I am looking forward to seeing what y’all do with this! My email may be unreliable while at Gig Harbor, so call me if you need anything. 509-492-6246. And remember to stop by and try things on, fondle the fabrics, fondle the proprietor, check out the fabulous new dresses and skirts (before they are gone).
Happy rhyming,
Jane
